SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

What we’re looking for:
We publish one-act and full-length plays. In rare cases, we also publish compelling 10-minute plays, though these are typically grouped into collections to be shared with 10-minute festivals. Theatrical work that is bold, emotionally ambitious, and character-driven excites us. We value vivid language, theatrical imagination, and plays that challenge form, genre, or expectation.

We love:

  • Plays that bend or blend genre — or reject it completely.

  • Emotional honesty. Trying (and even failing) to say something true is more interesting than playing it safe.

  • Characters actors want to play.

  • Writing that trusts the stage: use time, space, rhythm, absence, spectacle. Let the play be a play.

  • Clean formatting and thoughtful structure.

We’re less excited by:

  • Snark, aesthetic posturing, or work that hides behind irony.

  • Lazy provocation, offense-for-shock’s-sake, or cruelty masquerading as courage.

  • Sloppy formatting.

  • Plays that could have been essays.

FORMATTING MATTERS

We appreciate clear and professional formatting. Please ensure your script follows standard playwriting conventions. For guidance, refer to this formatting guide.

What to include in your submission:

  • Your script as a PDF (max 2MB)

  • A brief synopsis (1–3 paragraphs)

  • Runtime and estimated page count

  • Number of characters

  • A short statement on production history (if applicable)

  • A resume or CV (PDF only)

  • Playwright Bio (sell yourself and your vision!)

Other Things to Note:

  • Simultaneous Submissions
Yes. If your play is accepted elsewhere, just let us know. We’re writers too—we get it.

  • Previously Published or Produced Work:
We’re open to both brand-new and previously staged work, but you must have the rights to submit it.

Response times:
We aim to respond within 2–4 weeks from the deadline. If it’s been longer and you’re wondering, feel free to follow up.
